Welcome toThe Celtic Museum! The place where we try to tell the never-ending & eternally-evolving storied history of the famous Glasgow Celtic FC.
Keep reading below to help you navigate your way round the website.
At the 'Match Reports, News & analysis' section you can keep up to date with all the latest information Celtic FC.
At the 'Celtic Greats' section you can see all the all-time great players who dominated domestically in Scotland, & also excelled in Europe against the most elite players in the world, thereby becoming immortally etched in the history & folklore Celtic FC.
There are some titan European games where the team take the pen of time & win an epic gadiatorial battle, indeed writing another famous story in the cherished European football history of Celtic FC. You can check these out in the 'Epic European Games' section, going all the way back to the Empire Exhibition Cup in 1938.
Obviously in order to play in Europe, you have to earn the right to do so in the domestic game in Scotland, and in the 'Domestic Domination' section there are the domestic trophy wins, all of which are heralded in the Celtic story (Every victory against our local rivals in Scotland is savoured & 'the most important game is the next one')!
A big part of success at Celtic is not just the players on the pitch, but the Manager in the dug-out, as well as the coaches and also the directors & owners (the Celtic fans are famously always criticising Directors & Owners throughout the Club history) - you can see them in the 'Chapters in History' section.
Finally, as the saying goes, most of the football greats have passed through Parkhead's gate, and in the 'Most of the Football Greats' section you can see all the best players & managers Celtic have come up against. Although there is a famous saying amongst Celtic fans of 'always cheated; never defeated', we can't win them all & sometimes we do have to pay respect to elite players & managers in the teams of our opponents (even the extreme pantomime villains), who have pipped Celtic despite the players', fans' (Celtic's 12th player) & Club's absolute best efforts.
In case you're intrigued, in The Celtic Museum logo there is the Gold Star to recognise the European Cup Final win over Inter Milan in 1967, but also 2 Silver Stars as well. One silver star is to recognise the lost European Cup Final to Feyenoord in 1970, and the other is to recognise the lost UEFA Cup Final to Porto in 2003 - these were the 3 occasions when Celtic reached the dizzy heights at the very top of the mountain & the final Coliseum of European football.
